Screenwriter Blogs

There's nothing like a good screenwriting blog. First, screenwriters write better than most. It's their job to entertain. Thus screenwriting blogs are really fun to read—even if you aren't trying to learn about screenwriting. Hollywood is rife with professional screenwriter sites and magazines and books and seminars and courses. But here's a sampling of some more personal screenwriter blogs. By all means, write back with more of your faves.

Josh Friedman
John August
Craig Mazin
John Rogers

Frankly, I could do without Friedman's paranoia.
However, the other blogs were really quite interesting (despite a surfeit of personal hype.) However, I find writers blogs with original insight and intelligent comment, like Dave Kehr or David Chute, far more interesting.

What about a list of coolass independent filmmaker blogs? Wish I could think of at least one to suggest. Seems like I just read one recently. Wish like hell I could remember what it was. That damn cheap wine in a box really screws with my memory.

Eric, you made a really good suggestion, why act like an idiot? I checked your site and you're a serious independent filmmaker. Why not say so?
That hokey "wine in a box" mask is not cool. (Those of us who really drink too much rarely mention it.) Stick up for yourself, you've got a lot to be proud of.

I found a new blog called scriptfaze that I like a lot. I'm not sure who is doing it but they seem to know what they're talking about.

Nice post! I am a screenwriter and I love to write also specially sci-fi or fantasy adventure. I am indeed full of imagination and someday I really hope so that my story will be played on the WIDE SCREEN and people will appreciate and honored it. I would like to share my creation DREAMSPELL : THE AWAKENING you can also check out the site for more details:
