Interview with a zombie
We get a lot of off-the-wall promos ahead of a festival, but this one's so far out it's not even near the wall, the room or the entire house. It's an invitation for coverage of a Slamdance movie called "Zombie Girl" The Movie," and as you can see from the adjacent image, it's not at all shy about pumping up its very young filmmaker. The line accompanying it reads: "Meet the youngest horror film auteur on the block...12 year old Emily Hagins."
But contrary to what we first thought -- that the Slamdance entry in question was a zombie movie directed by the preadolescent -- the movie is actually a doc _about_ a 12-year-old who directed a zombie movie. So it's even weirder/creepier than you thought.

I'm going to see Zombie Girl on Friday and I'm totally stoked. I don't see what's weird or creepy about the concept; it's supposed to be great. While I'm sure Emily's movie is enjoyable, a documentary about the process sounds a lot more intriguing.
